The Linking Eligibility Across the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) Parts (LEAP) project aims to inform streamlined processes for applying to and maintaining access to RWHAP services, while also minimizing the administrative burden for both clients and service providers, and enhancing how individuals with HIV navigate the eligibility process. The project focuses on streamlining eligibility processes for RWHAP by examining current procedures, facilitating information sharing, and creating resources. The initiative builds on previous work and seeks to enhance continuity of care with the goal of ultimately helping RWHAP clients achieve better health outcomes.

The virtual Affinity Group, a key component of LEAP, launched in September 2025. This group of RWHAP recipient and subrecipient programs will convene for nine months (through May 2026) and will foster information exchange, networking, and community among RWHAP peer jurisdictions. Participants will receive support, guidance, and feedback on best practices for streamlining RWHAP eligibility determination and redetermination and will complete an action plan for improvement.
